My current services
One to One Therapy
Sessions will usually be at a regular day and time, weekly or fortnightly. This along with fees and expectations for therapy will be set out in a client contract, to be agreed within the first few sessions. Meeting in person is ideal as the therapy room is a designated safe, interruption-free space, and being in the room with each other can be an important part of the therapeutic process. However where there is a need or preference to work remotely an online alternative is available.

Initial Meeting
I highly recommend an initial meeting. This is a free, shorter first appointment, with no commitment to sessions following it. Its purpose is to determine whether we feel we can work together. I will be assessing whether I am able to support you and you can assess how comfortable you are with me and whether I may be someone you can open up to. You can use this time to ask any questions about the therapy we may undertake before deciding the next step.

More on Sessions
I am not an art therapist and therefore can not give focused art therapy. However I have studied creative ways of working and those wanting to express themselves in different ways during sessions are most welcome. Art supplies, symbols and sensory objects are available in my therapy room at each session along with a Sand Tray to work with when words are too difficult, or not enough.
As a therapist I do not give advice, but I do respond authentically and genuinely with an alternative perspective, and offer long term support through your journey. I will not give you answers or directions, but I will aim to provide a safe space where we can explore and find your own answers. This way of working can be challenging, but it serves to promote greater self confidence and autonomy once therapy ends.
My practice is at my residence so I ask clients to respect that you are entering my home, although the therapy room is ours to work in together uninterrupted. I will be respecting your privacy and confidentiality about what you choose to share, which we will discuss more during contracting.
Current Working Hours
Tuesday 10am - 5.30pm
Wednesday 10am - 7.00pm
Friday 10am - 5pm
Fees
Payments are accepted in cash, by card, or bank transfer and this can be discussed and arranged before therapy begins. I usually ask these to be paid at the end of each session. I do have cancellation policies and fees in some cases, which will be made clear to you before we begin. I will obviously not charge for sessions that I am unavailable.
I can offer reduced fees if necessary on a sliding scale, so please contact me if you need to discuss this and cannot afford my usual rate. In certain circumstances I may also be able to hold sessions at times not listed above, as long as I can accommodate this at the time of the query and this won’t cause any foreseeable problems going forward. Please don’t hesitate to get in touch with me to discuss any of these points further if they will help you access the service better.
Ethics
I am a registered member of the BACP and their ethical guidelines, which I follow can be found here.
I will be following GDPR legal principles in regards to your information.
I will not be wearing a face mask as I feel it inhibits communication and expression, both of which are vital to the sessions. However you need to feel safe and secure and if you feel more comfortable wearing a mask or visor we can discuss this, as well as the need for online sessions due to health concerns or other circumstances.
I am happy to discuss anything further with prospective clients either through a brief enquiry on my contact page or during an initial meeting session, depending on the information required. If we run out of time and its necessary I may be able to accommodate a second initial meeting.
